Normally Closed Diaphragm Solenoid Valve
A solenoid valve is an electromechanically operated valve. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid: in the case of a two-port valve the flow is switched on or off; in the case of a three-port valve, the outflow is switched between the two outlet ports.
This normally closed valve opens when the solenoid coil is energized. When the coil is deenergized, a spring pushes the plunger towards the pilot hole in the diaphragm to block any water above the diaphragm from flowing out. This valve is intended for use with water, air, light oil, and other noncorrosive fluids. Not to be used with gasoline and other hazardous fluids.
