Frequently Asked Questions
Question:I put a new pressure valve but the 2040 pump will not go over 800 psi. I checked the 6 check valves also and they were clean. what to do next? - Steve (09/12/2023)
Response:Hi Steve, techs here would replace the packing in the pump. Also, you could check the inlet plumbing to make sure you are not starving the pump for water.
Question:Do I need to put new oil in or can I run the new pump with the oil that it came with - James (03/15/2020)
Response:General recommends changing the oil on a new pump after a 50 hour break-in period. After that, every 3 months or 500 hours
