Product Description

Fixed Chemical Injector for Pressure Washers

General Pump 100947 is a fixed high-draw chemical injector with a 1.6-millimeter orifice. Thanks, to a ceramic check ball and acid kit, this injector can handle harsh acids. You can use this chemical injector for pressure washer applications, car washes, and more. This model is compatible with a pressure washer or pump that generates a flow rate ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 GPM. It has an impressive maximum pressure rating of 4500 PSI. That makes the General Pump 100947 perfect for gas-pressure washers that generate the high pressure required for tough cleaning tasks. It has an injection draw rate of up to 20%, this depends on many variables. Hot water is not a problem as this model handles fluid temperatures up to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. This chemical injector is proudly made in the USA!

Troubleshooting Guide:

Note: The number for each cause matches the number for each solution.

Won’t Draw Liquid

  • Causes
    1. Incorrect nozzle
    2. The system is not in low-pressure mode
    3. The discharge hose is too long
    4. Clogged chemical line
  • Solutions
    1. Check the nozzle and change it if necessary
    2. Change or adjust the nozzle to put the system in low-pressure mode
    3. Choose a shorter discharge hose or change the injector
    4. Remove the obstruction in the chemical line

Rate of draw seems too slow

  • Causes
    1. Discharge hose is too long
    2. Air leak in the chemical line
    3. Chemical is too viscous
  • Solutions
    1. Pick a shorter discharge hose or swap injectors
    2. Locate and repair the leak, or install a new chemical line
    3. Mix the chemical with more water to decrease its viscosity, this will dilute the chemical though

Leaking from the hose barb

  • Causes
    1. Hose barb check valve obstructed
    2. Worn or damaged O-ring in the check valve
  • Solutions
    1. Disassemble the injector to find and remove the obstruction
    2. Replace the O-ring

Excessive Pressure Load On Pump, Motor Or Engine

  • Causes
    1. Clogged injector
    2. Improperly sized injector orifice
  • Solutions
    1. Clear injector orifice of obstruction
    2. Change the orifice. General Pump recommends contacting their technical service for assistance with this task.
